Celebrating Adam: 2025 Goodyear Highway Hero Winner

And sometimes we are privileged to see our drivers step outside of their role with J.B. Hunt and perform an act of heroism that has far-reaching impacts. For Adam, a J.B. Hunt Intermodal driver, that action earned him the 41st Goodyear Highway Hero Award.

Goodyear Highway Hero

Adam has driven with J.B. Hunt since 2019 and is well on his way to achieving one million safe miles. But on July 28, 2024, Adam encountered a unique safety challenge.

While on a familiar route, he began to navigate around some debris in the road before realizing there was a person lying in the road. Adam quickly recognized the hazard, pulled his truck over to a safe location and hurried back to assist the individual out of the road while contacting emergency services for assistance.

Without Adam’s selflessness and quick action, there could have been a very different outcome for all involved. Because of his actions, Adam was awarded the Goodyear Highway Hero Award, an honor given to commercial drivers who go above and beyond their regular duties and act courageously for the good of others on the roadways across the U.S. and Canada. Adam will be honored with a cash prize and an exclusive ride on the Goodyear blimp, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year.
