J.B. Hunt Final Mile
At J.B. Hunt, our Final Mile division is our most active and customer-facing division. Employee drivers begin each day at the J.B. Hunt office where they receive an assignment from their manager. Once the delivery truck is loaded, drivers head out and make deliveries to customer locations.
Because deliveries usually take place during business hours, most Final Mile employees enjoy a Monday - Friday schedule with weekend time off. There are three job types in our Final Mile division: Class A, Straight Truck and Delivery Installation Specialists.
Class A drivers operate a tractor trailer and deliver and install freight at customer locations. CDL-A license and experience are required. Most Final Mile CDL-A drivers get home
every day.
Straight truck drivers operate a box truck and deliver and install freight at customer locations. No experience or CDL is required.
Delivery Installation Specialists assist during the installation process. No experience or licensing is required.
