Intermodal Growth
2021 was a foundational year for new growth and opportunities for company drivers at J.B. Hunt. We added 12,000 new intermodal containers to our fleet, which helped us reach an incredible milestone of surpassing 100,000 company-owned intermodal containers overall. For our drivers, this means that our freight volume and stability are better than ever, making J.B. Hunt not only the largest intermodal provider in North America, but one of the best for company drivers.
Benefits That Make a Difference
In addition to freight growth this year, we worked hard to improve employee benefits for our drivers. Starting a career with a new company is a big decision, and we want to make that decision as easy as possible. We know that having insurance available quickly is important, so we made BIG changes to our benefits that make new employees eligible after just 30 days!

In August, we celebrated our 60th anniversary as a company and reflected on how drivers have shaped our company since day one. Mr. and Mrs. Hunt created our company with drivers in mind, and we work hard to honor that legacy and keep our company drivers at the heart of what we do.

After being forced to postpone our annual Million Mile event in 2020, we hosted a greater, combined ceremony to honor our million-mile champions from the last two years.
